Teacher Week '13- Now Teach!

I'm a day behind, but that's okay! I'm going to rock it! :)

I'm going to share some of my organizational tips for keepin' it all together in the classroom.  As I have shared before, I have moved my classroom many times.  The first year I moved, I invested in good, sturdy tubs that made it both easy to keep my things organized and easy to move.  These tubs have been one of the best investments that I have made!

I also like to keep what is inside the cabinets organized.  I know not everyone is like this, but I HATE standing on a chair and digging through my cabinets when I'm looking for "that thing that I just KNOW is in here somewhere!!"

I'm sure many of you do this, but I never did until about 4 years ago-sort my construction paper by color.  WOW! What a difference it made! If you are clueless like I was, now you aren't! Get busy sorting!!
 (Blurry picture! So sorry!)

During the week, I keep my teaching supplies in this stack of tubs.  It was very hard to find one that had 6 drawers like this.  When I graduated from college, my now husband said, "What do you absolutely need to be successful at teaching?" I said, "A 6 drawer tub tower!" Bless his heart! He search all around for it and finally found this one at an office supply store.  I have had it every since! I like that it keeps things hidden and neat.
(I am sorry about the horrible picture! I forgot to take one at school so this is from my classroom 4 years ago!)

Now, what I'm NOT showing you is my never ending "file pile" that I am horrible about!!

What is your solution?? I tried binders, but couldn't make them work for me. Maybe I did them wrong! :)  I would LOVE some tips! I am off to check out some other organizational posts!
