Guided Reading and Conference Binder Organization

WHEW! That was a long title!

Friends, I have been working on this for about a month now.  I am SO EXCITED TO SHOW YOU!! I believe whole heartedly in guided reading.  I know, I know...it's old school now.  The *new* thing is to conference with your kiddos and pull a small group if needed.  I think that's wonderful, too! I just have had the most success with traditional guided reading.  The one thing I get questions about is "Can I see your binder?" Four years ago a friend of mine handed me this organizational tool that was bound (ya know, with that machine that is super hard to use?).  Over the last 4 years I have tweaked it, added to it, deleted things from it, and made it my own! This is my baby.  Without it, I don't know how I would do guided reading.  There is quite a bit to explain about it so I thought it would be easier to put it in a video.  (P.S. It's so strange to record yourself! My fingernails are still half orange from henna in Bangladesh, and I said "so" a lot! At least it wasn't "like" or "um", right? :) My hubs told me that I'm using my teacher voice the whole time in this video.  Sorry! )

You can grab it here at my TpT store! Be sure and grab it while it's on sale August today and tomorrow!

  1. Love this! I'm sure it has helped lots of new and experienced teachers! Now you need to teach me how you make the picture of all the pages of your document :)
